Some of the crew members that work on MLP are so disheartened by the negative responses to Equestria Girls that they’re actually thinking about leaving the crew, If there was ever a time for this fandom to shut the fuck up it’s right now. Or at least go send a nice tweet or message to DHX thanking them for all they’ve done. They at least deserve that much.

I’ve working on a complete music theory guide for the passed three hours and I already have over 2,600 worlds. If anyone is interested in learning about theory, you may want to read up on it. You might want to make sure you understand every concept perfectly before moving on because each new concept builds on top of old ones. I made it as clear as I possibly could so you shouldn’t have too much trouble. If you do, feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

So recently YouTube released another update to the channel design and I thought now would be a perfect time to make some major changes. I’ve been meaning to do this for a long time, but I didn’t really feel ready before. I just got done deleting about 90 videos off my channel, including playlists and channel comments.

I still have the songs, wallpapers, and even the original project files for EVERY song that was removed, so if you want them redone, or you want the originals, all you have to do is ask.

Now, why did I do this? Well, if you’ve been following me for a while, you may have noticed that I have improved quite a bit with music, and to be honest, the old stuff is just embarrassingly bad. My channel kinda defines my personality  and the old videos were pretty much ruining it. Now, everything is nice and organized, and it only has content that I actually find acceptable. I didn’t delete older popular videos like Scratching Harmony or any of the Octavia songs, but I did delete most of the video game covers (since the most popular one only had like 400 views after 2 years)

Just thought I’d let you guys know whats going on. Thanks!

I’ve been getting a ton of questions on how I compose, mix, and master my music, so I went ahead and wrote out this guide. It includes a bunch of information, so you may be interested. I’m not done with it yet, but it’s almost finished:

I just spent the past two days working on a new song. It’s kinda hard to say exactly what the genre is, but it’s got a really downbeat, kinda dark feel to it. It’s called “Corruption” and should be uploaded some time tomorrow.

I’m trying to be a little more consistant with my music. My goal is to upload at least one new song a week, but I’m not sure how that’s going to go.

I did this a few days ago. I know it’s my third time remaking it, but I like this version the best. I’ll probably upload it in a few days.

Here’s a little preview of what I’ve been working on for the past couple of hours. Castlevania fans should especially like it.

Wow, it’s amazing how much color correction can improve a video or image. It’s actually a pet peeve of mine. I always feel as if I need to fix any image, video, or song I save on my computer.

Oh, and if you’re wondering, the screenshots are for a remake of a song I did last November called “Time”

I filmed it earlier in 10F (-12C) weather on some railroad tracks I walked to near my house. It actually took me 30 minutes for the whole shot. I thought it was only going to take about 4 or 5 minutes. Yea, it wasn’t fun, but at least I got the shot lol

I’m waiting until I got to bed to render the video because it’s going to take 6-8 hours. It should be up sometime tomorrow, but it’s nothing too special.

I’m not sure how many of you are fans of Cave Story, but the music for it is actually really catchy. Last weekend I went ahead and made an orchestrated version of the main theme and the Mimiga Village theme. They should be on YouTube sometime this week, but I haven’t gotten around to making the video for it yet, so as soon as that’s done, it’ll be up.

I keep the original project files for all my songs, so yes, I do have the sheet music. It’s a little harder to actually send it than you may think. It would probably be easier for me to send the midi. Could you use that instead of the actual score?

Oh no, I’m having writers block! I’m thinking about doing a hip hop orchestral since I haven’t made on in a while. What do you guys think? Give me some idea’s on what you’d like to hear and I’ll see what I can do.

I was really bored and decided to redo this song that I randomly clicked while scrolling through iTunes. It’s really really old and nowhere near good enough to put on YouTube. I didn’t really try too hard on this one lol. Just wanted to play around for a bit before I worked on an actual serious song.
